About this Course

Creating dolls using very distinctive methods. Each doll is finished with facial features, hair, clothes, and in some cases added whimdy: cats, purses, bonnets, chairs, teapot and tray, wings - so many choices! A variety to make each doll unique using the doll makers imagination. The four basic techniques are hand sewing, Paper Mache, clothes pin doll and sculpy. We will view historical pictures and in class examples of vintage dolls in all of these forms to help us understand the variety of dolls to be made. All materials included.
