Lifeguard certifications expire every 2 years. This class is designed for currently certified lifeguards to review and recertify before their certification expires. This American Red Cross Lifeguard Training REVIEW Course (Blended Course) will review all rescue techniques, CPR/AED, First Aid, how to care for Head/Neck and Back Injuries, and other essential skills for this first responder Certification. The Blended learning class consists of 7 hours of online instruction and 10 hours of in person skill practice. . Upon completion of the course, participants will receive certification for: Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED/First Aid , valid for 2 years. PREREQUISITES: Minimum age 15 years; Swim 150 yards continuously, Immediately Tread water with out hands for 2 minutes, then swim 50 yards, goggles allowed; Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds by starting in the water, swimming 20 yards, surface diving to a depth of 10 feet to retrieve a 10-pound brick, return to surface and swim 20 yards back to the starting point, exit the water without using steps or ladder, no goggles allowed.
