About this Course

Intermediate/ Advanced class for green belt through black belt. This is an ongoing course, which teaches the art of American Kenpo Karate. This open hand fighting art is believed to have been brought from China to Japan, nearly 700 years ago. Kenpo literally means “Fist Law” and has undergone many changes throughout the years. Gain harmony of the body, mind and spirit. The class is designed to provide instruction leading to accomplishing ranks from White Belt to Black Belt, with a focus on self-defense. This includes the emphasis on: Self-defense techniques, Kata (Forms), Kumite (Sparring), Fitness, and Philosophy. The resulting outcome is: increased self-confidence, discipline, flexibility, improve balance, mental concentration, focus, physical conditioning, and respect. Your needs and goals are addressed, recognizing your unique and personal characteristics. Class meets Tues/Thu 6:30-7:30pm and Saturdays 12-1pm.
