About this Course

What to sew?! This camp introduces hand-sewing for the beginner or is a review for those who have hand-sewn and/or used a sewing machine. Practice the fundamentals of sewing: stitches, knotting, pinning, designing and pattern tracing. Hands-on projects are geared to the camper's ability and choices include a decorative pillow, a hand-sewn ‘light-up’ battery powered felt bookmark, a handbag, stuffed animal or pajama bottom. A sewing machine will be available for supervised use or bring your own machine whether you used it or not. Bring snack, drink & sack lunch. NOTE: email instructor at kathrynkeg@gmail.com for 'Camper Expectations' Agreement before camp and bring signed copy the 1st day. Campers should have completed 1st grade or be at least 7 yrs old. All supplies are included. Instructor: Kathryn Henderson, degree in Fine Arts and teaching youth since 1993.
